As I mentioned yesterday, Mike and I worked hard to paint and refresh our bedroom. This morning when I pulled myself out of bed to head to work, I took a few extra moments to enjoy the room's new found serenity. The taupe color of the new paint has a calming effect. The new comforter is extra warm and comfy. We finally got to move the displaced furniture from the roommate days back where it belongs...and out of the clutter of our room. We pared down and simplified and now I never want to leave our bedroom retreat. Unfortunately...work beckoned.
Lunch today was eaten mid afternoon and was extra scrumptious. I picked up a Grilled Chicken Tostada Salad from Baja Kitchen. They fill a fresh tortilla bowl with very flavorful black beans, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream, grilled green onions, grilled chicken and salsa. I topped it with extra salsa and fresh cilantro from the salsa bar. It was the bomb!
I am almost embarrassed to say, but tonight Mike and I ate out once again...at Sweet Tomatoes. I had grand plans of making spaghetti and meatballs, but our crazy schedules and errand running made eating out the best option once again. Potatoes are the stars right now at Sweet Tomatoes. I tried a yummy Yam Chowder with corn. It sounds kind of strange, but was really very good. The Rosemary Potato Foccacia Bread was also quite tasty.
Gotta run finish the White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies I am baking for my niece's party tomorrow.
Many hugs,
Kathy
