This morning started simply, but good. I prepared chocolate chip pancakes with bacon and hot coffee for my Valentine. We relaxed and read the paper before beginning our painting project. The rest of the day was devoted to painting our bedroom. We chose a soothing taupe color and were really pleased with the results.
Tonight Mike took me out to a surprise dinner for my Valentine's gift. He made reservations at Primo, an elegant, romantic restaurant at the J.W. Marriott. What an amazing decadent treat! The meal began with a basket of warm homemade bread. Then we shared an Antipasto Misti - Asiago Cheese, an assortment of Italian Meats, Marinated Olives, Crostini and a delicious Onion, Pepper and Fresh Basil Salad. Mike ordered the Orecchiette Bolognese. I savored the Homemade Butternut Squash Ravioli with Poached Lobster. For dessert we shared a Chocolate Budino Cake with Homemade Mint Chocolate Chip Gelato. I loved the fact that Mike splurged on something that gave us both so much pleasure. It was so nice to be pampered and spend quality time with my honey.
My heart is very content. I love Mike!
Many hugs,
Kathy
