My friend Dee just retired last week from Darden after...well, I can't remember, but many years. To celebrate, we got together for lunch today at The Ravenous Pig with our mutual friend Kenda. What a nice time we had! I have known Dee for years through work, but never really had the opportunity to just sit and talk. At almost seventy years old, Dee is amazing. I love the way she savors life and new experiences. She goes ballroom dancing several times each week and has me convinced to join her next Tuesday. I love to dance and have always wanted to take ballroom lessons. The lessons are very inexpensive and Dee gushes that the exercise is great and the people are fun. If Dee can do it, so can I.
I only hope when I can retire...at ninety, I will have the same spirit that Dee has.
