Well I guess the Tasty Therapy Day did the trick to break the log jam in my brain. The thoughts are pouring out of me and most of them involve cookies and the Power of Good. While doctoring my coffee at the local Starbucks this morning, I came across an engaging fellow making small talk with me at the stand. He smiled and joked and made me happy. This deserved to be rewarded with a HeartSong cookie. Unfortunately all the bags in my car were already spoken for. Here goes the brain again...I thought I should keep a stash of individually wrapped cookies in the car for moments like this. I would call it "Random Acts of HeartSong" and photograph the smiles for my collection.
Then I took it a step further. Once a week I would have a drawing for a HeartSong Cookies basket delivered by me to a deserving soul. Well..maybe twice a month. How about once a month and the basket would be brimming with lots of HeartSong goodness.
Playing 'Cookie Fairy" is my favorite role and today I got to do it all day long. Many smiles were added to my collection. None better than the photo sent back to me from Morgan and David. I giggled all the way to Tampa. I'm baaaack!
After getting a proof approved, I decided to stop at Mel's Hot Dogs in Tampa for a quick lunch on the run. The Mel's Special Hot Dog basket and Coke with crushed ice were oh so good. I don't have hot dogs or fries very often, but when I do, Mel's is the spot. The devil in me took a picture to send to my friend Rita who introduced me to Mel's. Hee hee...I know it drove her crazy.
Tonight was Tasty Therapy Day Part 2. Before I headed home to bake for the evening I picked up dinner at a new barbecue spot in Winter Park - Four Rivers. Parking is limited. The brisket is to die for. And the sides are amazing. I ordered a brisket sandwich with two sides - bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos and roasted corn. The smell was so intoxicating I could not wait until I got home to enjoy. I did manage to save half a sandwich to share with our dog Maddie. Maddie agrees Four Rivers is awesome!
After dinner, I baked and baked and baked some more. I rolled out and decorated Sandy's Sugar Cookies and made another batch of White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies. More smiles are in my future.
Many hugs,
Kathy
