The Long Way Home - Day 236

Today was spent on the road from Raleigh to Orlando with a few side trips in between. Susan and I decided we needed a little diversion along the way to break up the trip. We ventured into downtown Savannah with the Urbanspoon phone app in hand and settled on the SOHO South Cafe. The decor was eclectic. The menu simple focusing on sandwiches, salads and soup. Susan ordered the Grilled Veggie Foccacia and I selected the Modern Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque Soup. Both were delicious. Urbanspoon served us well.

My son Ryan is moving to Jacksonville at the end of April and needs some help finding an apartment. Soooooo...our second side trip took the two of us on a tour of the San Marco and Southside neighborhoods. I fell in love with San Marco. The condos and homes have a historic charm and a beautiful view of the St. Johns River. Southside is close to shopping and offers many upscale apartment choices. Our brief tour was just enough to wet my appetite for a follow up trip tomorrow with Mike.

Many hugs,

Kathy
