Window To My Diet - Day 209

Another trip to Tampa. Another fast food lunch. This time I grabbed a Panda Bowl at Panda Express - Firecracker Chicken with Chow Mein Noodles. For fast food, it was actually quite good - a spicy blend of hot peppers, chicken breast, red and yellow peppers and onions.

One of the many benefits my daily blog offers is a window into just how unhealthy my diet is. Due to my crazy schedule I am currently on a rare fast food regimen. Tonight I found myself in Tampa after 5:00 and feeling hungry. Mel's Hot Dogs called my name and I answered. Hot dogs are something I usually consume only a couple of times a year. I can't believe I actually have been to Mel's twice in the last month. It was heaven on a bun...a poppy seed bun topped with a tasty dog that popped when I bit into it, sauerkraut, mustard, ketchup and neon green relish served with a generous portion of fries, slaw and a Coke with crushed ice. If only I could apply the same conviction I use for my daily blog to a healthy diet and exercise...

Guilt is a powerful motivator! When I got home from Tampa this evening, I quickly walked Maddie and headed to the mall to mall waddle for 30 minutes. Mall waddling (walking for most normal people) has the added advantage of window shopping as you waddle. The Loft had some pretty things in the window that I drooled over each of the four times I passed by. I am sure my 30 minutes didn't do much to combat my recent fast food fetish, but at least it was SOMETHING!

Unfortunately the mall waddling also put me in the mood for shopping...Marshalls shopping. I headed out of the mall and straight for the light. I basked in the light of the Marshalls sign. Don't worry Kenda, this cash starved foodie didn't buy a thing.

Many hugs,

Kathy
