Tonight the cooking baking began, but not at the frenzied pace I was predicting. I baked a batch of Toasted Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies that turned out just right. Then it was on to experiment with a Peppermint Bark Cookie using my base cookie recipe and adding peppermint bark, white chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips. The experiment is still a work in progress. I just can't quite get the right balance of flavors. I packaged the cookies in festive holiday bags with ribbon closures and will pass out to clients and friends tomorrow.
