My battery needs to recharge. I am taking a day off from baking and posting of any consequence.
I did meet a friend at Press 101 for lunch and had an amazing Mango Chicken pressed sandwich. Lightly blackened chicken topped with jalapeno havarti cheese, piquillo peppers, mango chutney and cilantro was sandwiched between two slices of ciabbata bread and pressed to crispy, melty perfection. It was served with a light side salad and skewered with a deliciously salty caper berry. Happy dance worthy. Unfortunately, the $9.00 price was not cash starved friendly, but it was truly worth every penny.
